About the Conference
The Development Dialogue (DD) conference is a yearly initiative organised by PhD researchers of ISS. It provides the space for doctoral candidates and early carrier researchers engaged in different fields of development studies to share their work, exchange ideas, and to discuss how their research relate to global development struggles.
The ISS Development Dialogue is a multidisciplinary, reflective, and collaborative programme which brings together dozens of researchers, practitioners, academics, and specialists in various fields of development from around the world. All editions of the DD are committed to providing early-career researchers an opportunity to present their work and receive high quality and constructive feedback.
DDs have been long-lasting institute at ISS, being held for almost two decades engaging researchers and PhDs candidates from all over the world dealing with cross-cutting issues of the development field.
About the International Institute of Social Studies
The International Institute of Social Studies (ISS) in The Hague is part of Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR). It is a graduate institute of policy-oriented critical social science, founded in 1952 and able to draw on over 60 years of experience.
The International Institute of Social Studies was established to carry out capacity building in social studies and has evolved over the years to embrace the changing needs of the communities it serves.
Today, ISS is a diverse, inclusive, dynamic, global university institute with researchers and students from all over the world and alumni in over 100 countries.
